Humvee breaks camp, making sure we don't leave anything behind. Want to leave the desert like it was when we arrived. We do some more sightseeing in the
WHITE DESERT before we have to get back to Bahariya.

We get back to our hotel-
International Hot Spring-around 11:00 am. Adel is due to pick us up at 11:30 am to return to Cairo. When he arrives Peter explains how we have to stop at the Mena House first to retrieve my folder. At the rest/truck stop I remained in the car while the men had restroom or smoke break. We get to the
Mena House and get my folder. Abdullah is there to greet us and offers us a
drink.

We're back in
CAIRO. We check into our hotel-
CAIRO MARRIOTT around 5:00 pm. This hotel is located on the island of Gezira but it is easy to get to downtown Cairo from here. We will only be here for one night. Room #802 is lovely. Two double beds, superb view. Time for some shopping. There's a Mobaco store here. I buy 2 cotton shirts for 248 LE/$41.66 These cotton polo shirts have a camel insignia by the pocket. Green one for my son-in-law Bill and a blue one for my husband.

We decide to have
dinner at a restaurant in our hotel.
JW STEAKHOUSE. Salads, steak, potato pattie, broccoli. Steak was tender and juicy and cooked perfectly. Cost 484.18 LE/$81.33.
Back in our room. Sitting on the balcony we see Cairo lit up at night. It's so pretty. Tomorrow we take a flight to Aswan.
